It’s the best thing we have done

We have now been in our new home for nearly 6 months since we made the leap from bricks & mortar to Park home living.

We have always fancied a bungalow and we were aware that Kingsdown Residential Park had some new park homes, so we thought we would take a look. As soon as we looked into this home, we fell in love with it straight away.

We had a house to sell, which I knew would take time and all the hassle of showing people around etc was not appealing to us. Sean the site owner then mentioned they do part exchange and this is what we did. It all happened in 3 weeks from start to finish. It was the smoothest transition ever. Plus we had no estate agents fees to pay.

We had a static holiday caravan in Devon for many years and we loved it. That gave us the idea that we could down size and be happy in a smaller home.
Bungalows are very expensive and very often need so much doing to them.
That set us thinking about a park home. The idea of buying everything needed appealed to us.

We can honestly say it has met all our expectations. The whole aspect of park home life is great. My neighbours are really friendly and welcomed us from day one.

The best thing of all is the wildlife we see; we often have deer, pheasants and foxes in the back field which is so lovely and brightens our day. It is like really living in the countryside.

We have no regrets, it’s the best thing we have done. We feel like we are always on holiday!

A quiet life, cheaper bills and one level living

After spending so many years in a house, we were thinking of downsizing and also wanted one level living going into retirement. With bungalows so expensive, we noticed that new mobile homes were being installed at Kingsdown Park.

We decided to have a look with Nicky and Shaun, and we were totally taken aback by the quality and furnishings.

There was no pressure, and Nicky took us all around the site looking at different homes.

Our house sold quite quickly, and Shaun the park owner was happy to take a deposit until our house completed, which put our minds at rest knowing we secured the home we wanted.

We have been here almost 6 months and we couldn’t have made a better choice. It is so peaceful with the woods behind us, and the birds singing, and our bills are so much lower.

We had decking added arranged through the park owner, who went over-and-above in advising and helping us.

We would not hesitate in recommending anyone who wants a quiet life, cheaper bills and one level living to buy one of these.
